Snif, creator engine
Ten creators for Snif, ramped in six weeks
A $5.00 sample, a $16.00 polish, a $34.00 candle: ten creators, seven videos each a week, one cost number to protect.
- creators live by week six
- 10
- creator videos a month at the full roster
- 303
- weeks from the first creator to the full roster
- 5

Hot pink nails, and they smell like a fragrance
Creator paints the $16.00 hot pink polish on camera, says the hook, then ends on the $5.00 sample.

Summary
| Roster | Ten creators live by week 10 | Proposed: two creators a week, six weeks of ramp, starting from zero. |
|---|---|---|
| Who | Creators who already describe smells | Candle, nail, body care, laundry and sample-tester types. Five filters, six personas. |
| Production | 7 videos per creator per week | 303 videos a month at 10 creators, across five formats tied to Snif products. |
| Pay | Pay $300 to $800, caps $600 to $1,500 | Proposed: Starter, Standard, Premium. All ten at the top cap is $15,000, bonuses excluded. |
| Bonus | $50 flat past 100,000 views | Proposed: one bonus per creator per month, organic views only. |
| Compliance | Claims sheet from Snif's own wording | Creators quote lines from the product pages. Nothing improvised about scent, skin or health. |
| Category rule | Smell and feel only, no outcomes | Body whip and laundry lines stay on texture and scent. No effects on mood, sleep or skin. |
| Goal | $1 per 1,000 views | Proposed target. On my Assumptions the simulator starts at $5.74, so the gap is on the page. |
| Report | Every Monday, without being asked | Views, cost per 1,000 views, top video by format, pay due, what we learned. |
| Decision | One yes from Snif's lead | Approve the roster, the claims sheet and the $15,000 ceiling. Then the first two creators go live. |

Track record
Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.
At Tabs I built the creator program and the paid engine beside it. This is the same playbook pointed at fine fragrance and candles: a hook library, one variable per test, losers killed early. I have not run this category. Smell travels badly on video, so that is the first thing we test.

58,266
Reviews shown on the page
The Snif page shows 58,266 reviews. That is a pool of real customers to mine for creator candidates. I have not seen how the reviews split by product.
Published15%
First-order offer
The page offers 15% off a first order. A creator video can end on that line without us inventing a deal. Terms get checked before every brief.
Published$75+
Free shipping line
Free shipping on US orders at $75+. An $84.00 home scent bundle clears it alone, so bundle videos have a clean reason to click.

Principles
One number to protect
Cost per 1,000 views, target $1 (Proposed). Every roster, format and pay decision is judged against it, and nothing else gets a vote.
One variable per test
Same candle, same claim: change the hook or the first shot, not both. Losers killed early, winners go into the hook library.
Claims come from Snif's own wording
Creators get a sheet of lines copied from the product pages. They do not improvise on scent strength, skin or health.
One channel, answers inside a day
Briefs, claim questions, drafts and the Monday report live in one shared workspace, so no creator waits to post.

TheoMon 11:10 AM
Can I say the Old Money Candle smells like a million bucks? Want to be sure before I film.
Yes. That line is on the claims sheet, word for word. Keep it exact and don't add to it.

Part 5 of 15
Formats

Brief 01
Red Room Glow Candle: temperature line
“a scent that keeps the temperature up without ever overheating”
Flame in frame, then the room. Say the line while the wax pool forms. No claims about how strong or how long it lasts.

Brief 02
Lychee Lacquer polish: fingertip reveal
“An iconic hot pink polish that brings fragrance to your fingertips.”
Hands in frame, hot pink polish painted on, then fingers to camera and a sniff. One take, natural light.

Brief 03
Apple Cider Smash Candle: cozy burn
“An apple cider burn that will warm you to the core.”
Blanket, mug and shelf scene. Light the candle, say the line, cut at the first glow. Keep the product label visible.

Brief 04
Pumpkin Smash Body Whip: fall routine
“A cozy and nourishing body cream perfect for the fall.”
Evening routine, jar open, scoop onto hands and smooth in while saying the line. Stay on texture, never on results.

Brief 05
Lychee Lacquer sample: 2 ml first sniff
“A high-gloss fruity floral with a fresh-polish feel.”
Open the 2 ml sample at $5.00, spray, describe the smell in plain words, then name the full size at $68.00.
Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “A rich, woody burn that smells like a million bucks.”, “An iconic hot pink polish that brings fragrance to your fingertips.”, “An apple cider burn that will warm you to the core.”. Product names are said as printed.

Recruiting
Four sources in
Snif's own reviewers
The page shows 58,266 reviews. Customers who write about a scent are the warmest candidates. I'd ask Snif's team how to reach them.
Candle and body care creators
Home, cozy fall and laundry-day creators who already film around $34.00 candles and $24.00 body whips.
Scent-first video accounts
Creators who describe what things smell like for a living: samples, hauls, first sniffs, in plain words.
Affiliate or ambassador page
I did not find an affiliate or ambassador page on the Snif site. A creator link and code would be new, so we build it with the first roster.
Five filters, fewer each step
1Smell in plain words
Describes a scent in one short sentence on camera, without borrowed adjectives.
2Clean light and audio
Candle flame and polish gloss need good light. Phone footage is fine, dark footage is not.
3Claims discipline
Passes a short test on the claims sheet before the first brief goes out.
4Audience fit
Audience watches home, beauty or laundry content, not giveaway accounts.
5Pace
Can deliver seven videos a week for the whole run, including fast reshoots.
Part 7 of 15
Who
Candle collector
Shows the burn, the vessel and the room after an hour.
Likely product: Red Room Glow Candle
Fall home stylist
Cozy kitchen and table scenes built around the fall scents.
Likely product: Pumpkin Smash Candle
Nail and beauty creator
Close-ups of hands, hot pink polish and small rituals.
Likely product: Lychee Lacquer Scented Nail Polish
Laundry-day reset
Folding, the basket, the smell of a finished load.
Likely product: Apple Cider Smash Everything Wash
Fragrance sample tester
Tries 2 ml samples at $5.00 and says which one they would buy full size.
Likely product: Lychee Lacquer Fragrance Sample
Body care ritual
Shower-to-bed routines with a whipped body cream.
Likely product: Pumpkin Smash Body Whip
Left off, every time
Always left out: creators who promise health, mood or skin outcomes, who put another brand's name on a Snif video, who hide that a post is paid, or who film candles left unattended. Category rule: scent is described by smell and feel, never as treatment.

Never said
Each one with the reason it stays out.
It calms your anxiety
Health outcome. Snif's pages make no such statement.
It lifts your mood every time
An effect on the body or mind. Creators describe the smell, not what it does to you.
Better than any designer fragrance
Comparison with other brands. Nothing on Snif's pages supports it.
Safe for sensitive skin
Skin claim not on the product pages. Creators never add one.
It lasts all day
Strength and longevity claims are not on the pages the sheet is built from.
Natural and non-toxic
Ingredient claim not found on the pages. Not allowed without written approval.
To confirm with the brand
Held until someone on the brand side signs off.
Any mention of Tieghan Gerard or Barry's in a creator video
The pages name them as collaborators. I'd confirm with Snif what creators may say, so no one implies an endorsement.
The 15% first-order offer and the $75+ free shipping line
Offers change. Snif confirms the current terms before each brief mentions them.
Part 10 of 15
Pay
Starter
$300–600
a month, by band
Starter: new creators proving they can hold seven videos a week on one product line.
Bonus at the cap: $300
Standard
$500–1,000
a month, by band
Standard: creators who have held pace and pass the claims sheet without drafts sent back.
Bonus at the cap: $500
Premium
$800–1,500
a month, by band
Premium: creators whose organic videos keep earning and who can carry a launch like a new candle.
Bonus at the cap: $700
Under 100,000 views
$0
The base pay covers the work.
+$50 flat
Whatever the band.
Top-up to your cap
Bonus = band cap − base pay.
- One bonus per creator per month, no stacking, even if two videos pass 100,000 views.
- Per video: the $50 flat applies to a single video that passes 100,000 views.
- Organic views only. Views bought with ad spend never count toward a bonus.
- No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or the category rule, however far it travels.
Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.
The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.
Part 11 of 15
Simulator
On my Assumptions the program costs $5.74 per 1,000 views against the $1 target. It gets there if 4.2% of videos go viral, or the median video reaches 21,711 views.
Program facts
Snif creator engine, per month
- Monthly cost
- $10,050
- Base pay
- $10,000
- Est. bonuses
- $50
- Videos / month
- 303
- Est. views / month
- 1.8M
- Cost per 1,000 views
- $5.74
Above the $1 target at these inputs.
To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.
Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.
Part 11 of 15, continued
What moves the result
| If the median is | Views / month | Monthly cost | Cost / 1K | Hits target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 750 | 1.4M | $10,050 | $6.96 | No |
| 1,500 | 1.8M | $10,050 | $5.74 | No |
| 3,000 | 2.4M | $10,050 | $4.24 | No |
| If the viral share is | Views / month | Monthly cost | Cost / 1K | Hits target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.3% | 1.2M | $10,000 | $8.44 | No |
| 0.5% | 1.8M | $10,050 | $5.74 | No |
| 1% | 2.9M | $10,150 | $3.52 | No |
The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.
Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

Warm-up
Sheet, briefs, contracts
Claims sheet signed off, briefs for the Red Room Glow Candle and the $5.00 samples, creator terms ready. Zero creators live.
Month 1
Ramp to ten
Two creators a week until ten are live in six weeks. Five formats tested, one variable per test, losers killed early.
Month 2
Cut and double down
Drop the weakest formats, move the best creators up a band, and send winners toward paid once Snif approves.
Month 3
Hold the number
Cost per 1,000 views judged against $1. Hook library reused across the $34.00 candles and the body whips.
Day ninety
Review
One review: cost per 1,000 views, videos that passed 100,000 views, and whether to extend the roster.
Ceiling
Monthly cap
All ten creators at the top cap, bonuses excluded, is $15,000. That is the most this plan can cost.
$15,000 Monthly ceiling, all 10 creators at the top cap, bonuses excluded Proposed
The roster grows by two creators a week, so hook performance can be read week over week instead of by anecdote.

Exit
From organic to paid
Pick
Videos that passed 100,000 views organically and kept the claims sheet clean.
Clear
The creator agrees to paid use in writing before any spend starts.
Test
Run the video as an ad against a shorter cut of the same hook. One variable.
Scale
Keep winners, kill losers early, and report cost per 1,000 views with the next step.
From the video to the checkout
- Link the exact product shown, such as the Red Room Glow Candle at $46.00.
- For samples, link the $5.00 2 ml sample before the $68.00 full size.
- Mention free shipping on US orders at $75+ in Snif's own wording.
- Mention 15% off a first order only while the page still shows it.
- Point to the store locator for creators whose audience shops in person.
Part 15 of 15
Category rules
Scent, candles, body care and laundry
Snif sells scent. Creators describe how it smells and feels, in Snif's words, and leave health and skin outcomes alone.
Describe smell, not effects
Say what it smells like: pomegranate, cedarwood, orchard. Never say what it does to your mood, sleep or body.
Body whip is cosmetic
The page calls it a cozy and nourishing body cream. Stay at that wording: no skin condition, no result.
Candles: burn safely
Show the candle on a stable surface and never left unattended on camera. No dares, no stunts with flame.
Laundry: follow the page
Show the Scent Booster used as the page says: paired with the Everything Wash, measured with the included cup.
Disclose every paid post
Each post carries the platform's paid label or a clear tag, including gifted product. No exceptions.
Collaborators are not endorsers
Tieghan Gerard and Barry's appear on product pages. Creators may not imply either one backs a creator's video.
The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
