Making a simmer pot involves boiling potpourri, and it’s one of the fastest ways to make your home smell like fall. All you need to do is bring some of the quintessential fall ingredients (think cinnamon sticks, orange peels and orange slices, cranberries, pine needles, whole cloves, and so on) to a boil in a pot of water on the stovetop.
You can run a simmer pot in one of two ways. The first is on the stovetop over the lowest heat for a stronger, faster scent throw, though you’ll need to refill the water every hour. The second is in a slow cooker on low with the lid off for a more low-maintenance option that scents your home for 6 to 8 hours.
Classic Apple Cinnamon
Ingredients:
- 1 sliced apple
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- Peel of 1 orange
- 1 tsp whole cloves
- 4 cups water
Best for: a traditional, cozy fall scent that instantly makes your home feel warm, familiar, and inviting.
Pumpkin Spice

- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 4 cardamom pods

Cranberry Harvest
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 2 sprigs of rosemary
Best for: A brighter, slightly herbal simmer pot that’s less sweet and perfect for Thanksgiving week or early fall hosting.
On the stovetop, simmer pots typically last four to six hours with occasional water refills. In a slow cooker, they can last up to eight hours. If refrigerated overnight, the same ingredients can often be reused for two to three days total.

Are Snif fragrances natural and clean?
Our approach to fragrance is rooted in transparency and responsibility! All Snif fragrances are formulated in compliance with IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards, which set strict global safety guidelines for fragrance ingredients and usage levels.

How many of each product can I order?

How much Everything Wash Laundry Detergent will I use?
Our recommended dosage is 1 cap (15 ml) for a small load, 2 caps (30 ml) for a medium load, and 3-4 caps (45-60 ml) for a large load. To measure, fill the top of the cap to the 15 ml marking and repeat as needed for your load size.
What is your return policy for US orders?
We request that all returns be submitted within 30 days after delivery and receipt.
We offer the option of a refund back to the payment method used to purchase (less a handling fee) or store credit to be used for a future order on our website.
